Now 10th and 12th exam will be held twice a year

The new rule will be applicable from 2024-25, announced by the Ministry of Education
New Delhi. To enhance the quality in India's school education, the Central Government had introduced the New Education Policy 2020. There was a provision for the 10th and 12th board exams for the senior class children twice. But due to the arrival of Kovid, the implementation of this policy was delayed. But the Ministry of Education of the Central Government has made important announcements regarding school education-examination on Wednesday. The announcement regarding board examinations will be implemented from the year 2024-25.
According to the notification issued, the board examinations will now be conducted twice a year. Also, the students will be given the option that they can consider the best marks of both the semesters as final. This policy will not be applicable to this year's children at present. This will be applicable to children appearing for board exams in 2024.
Till now there is only 1 time board exam
Tell that till now, according to the old education system in the country, the board exams of all the state boards and central boards of the country are held only once a year. However, internal assessments and half-yearly examinations are conducted by the schools. According to the update released by the Ministry of Education, the new exam pattern based board examinations will assess the students' understanding of the subjects and their competitive achievements.
Now students will study the subject of their choice
According to the major changes made by the Ministry of Education, now the compulsion of class 11 and class 12 students to choose stream has been removed. In such a situation, the student will now be free to choose the subject of his choice. At present, according to the curriculum of all the boards, students have to choose any one of Science, Commerce, Arts, Vocational, etc. Also, students will have to choose two language subjects in both these classes, out of which one should be an Indian language.
This rule will apply to the students of 2024-25
However, according to the notification issued by the Ministry of Education, this rule will not apply to the students appearing for the board exams this year. According to the information, the framework of the new curriculum has been prepared according to the National Education Policy and according to these the books will be prepared for the 2024 session.
