The people took the money, but the vote was given to the man of the heart; Ravindra Dhangekar's big statement

Pune: Ravindra Dhangekar, the candidate of Mahavikas Aghadi, has spoiled the by-election of Kasbapeth constituency, which is considered to be the stronghold of BJP. He defeated BJP candidate Hemant Rasane by 11 thousand 400 votes. After the result, the activists celebrated by bursting gulal and firecrackers.
Meanwhile, while talking to Madhyamya, Dhangekar said, “People kept money at home and came to vote with Dhangekar in their hearts. The victory of Mahavikas Aghadi has started here. She will also take power in the state. BJP has been shown the ghat of Katraj by the people. My wife had confirmed her victory only yesterday. This is a victory for democracy. This picture is visible because I have done inclusive politics. I won at the same time when Chief Minister Hemant Rasane came to the constituency to campaign. BJP tried to convert people by distributing huge amount of money. However, they did not listen to them. Dhangekar also said that he will now meet MP Girish Bapat after the results.
Ravindra Dhangekar has defeated Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Hemant Rasane by 11 thousand 40 votes. Ravindra Dhangekar was in the lead from the first round of vote counting. With the exception of one round, he maintained this lead till the end and after the last round, the Election Commission declared his victory.
BJP made this election honorable from the first day itself. However, this election became difficult for the BJP as the Maha Vikas Aghadi fielded a candidate with great PR skills like Ravindra Dhangekar. In that, the atmosphere changed even more as the Hindu Federation opposed the BJP and fielded a candidate. Hemant Rasane also got the lead in Sadashiv Peth, Narayan Peth, Shaniwar Peth of BJP's right. However, Dhangekar was also seen to be well supported by the voters there. It is believed to be reflected in the result.
