Upheaval in the Thackeray Faction! After the Rebellion by 6 MPs, Gulabrao Patil Labels Sanjay Raut a 'Jinx'

News: Maharashtra's politics has witnessed another major upheaval. Six out of the nine MPs from the Uddhav Thackeray faction met Lok Sabha Speaker Omprakash Birla and formed a separate group. This group has received official recognition, and there is a strong possibility it will merge with Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena. These developments are being dubbed 'Operation Tiger'.
Against this backdrop, Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) leader and minister Gulabrao Patil launched a scathing attack on Thackeray faction MP Sanjay Raut. Speaking to reporters in Jalgaon, Gulabrao Patil said:
"Sanjay Raut is a 'white-footed' man [an ill-omened person]. The party's decline began the very day he took the reins. Attention should be paid to how his foot might turn from white to black [i.e., how his ill-fated influence might be reversed]."
When asked about 'Operation Tiger', Gulabrao Patil stated that he had no information regarding it. He mentioned that he had arrived in Jalgaon from Mumbai only last night.
Under the Anti-Defection Law...
Six MPs from the Thackeray faction have formed a separate group and demonstrated a two-thirds majority. Consequently, there is intense speculation that this group will now join the Shinde faction after securing official recognition.
This statement by Gulabrao Patil has become a topic of discussion in Maharashtra's political circles. By labeling Sanjay Raut a 'white-footed man'—implying he is a harbinger of bad luck—Patil has further intensified the internal conflict within the Thackeray faction.
