224 Iranian civilians killed in Israeli air strike, Tehran warns of strong retaliation
Tehran: Iran has issued an official statement confirming the death of 224 civilians and injuries to 1,257 people after the Israeli army carried out an air strike on Tehran on June 13. Iran has termed this attack as Israel's open violation of its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Iran's Foreign Ministry said that the Israeli army targeted residential areas, hospitals and research centers, in which women and children were also killed. This attack is a violation of Article 2 (4) of the United Nations Charter, which prohibits military action against the sovereignty of any country.
