Maharashtra Cabinet Meeting: The state government cabinet meeting was held in the presence of state Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Eknath Shinde. Major decisions in the cabinet meeting
• Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation will get 29 hectares 52 R land in Mauje Jambutke in Nashik district for Tribal Industrial Cluster. It will encourage aspiring entrepreneurs from the tribal community, generate employment and boost economic development. (Revenue Department)
• MMRDA and M/s Raigad Pen Growth Center Ltd. Relief in stamp duty on land required for the joint project of. This is the first major project in the state through public-private partnership. The growth center will attract foreign investment. (Revenue Department)
• Stamp duty on transfer of land in Goregaon, a hilly area required for Maharashtra National Law University in Mumbai, will be waived. The university will get a self-owned building. Educational facilities will be available for thousands of students. (Revenue Department)
• Stamp duty on lease agreement between Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) and other agencies in the Dharavi redevelopment project will be waived. Since it is a major project in the public interest, the rehabilitation and redevelopment plan will gain momentum. The implementation of the plan will be facilitated. (Revenue Department)
• Automatic Weather Stations (AWS) will be set up at the Gram Panchayat level under the WINDS (Weather Information Network Data System) project of the Central Government. For this, it has been decided to extend the deadline of the Mahavedh project. A project to provide accurate weather information to all villages in the state. • Maharashtra Agriculture- Artificial Intelligence MahaAgri-AI Policy 2025-2029 approved. Transformation can be achieved by using artificial intelligence and emerging technologies in the agriculture sector. Using artificial intelligence, generative artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, drones, computer vision, robotics, predictive analytics, it will help in taking forward projects like Agristack, Maha-Agristack, MahaVeda, CropSap, AgMarkNet, Digital Farming Schools, Maha-DBT in the state. • Extension of loan from Asian Development Bank and New Development Bank for Mumbai Metro Route-2A, 2B and 7 metro projects. (Urban Development Department)
• Virar-Alibagh Multipurpose Transport Corridor Project approved to be taken up on "Build, Operate and Transfer" basis. (Public Works Department).
• Double increase in the honorarium of those imprisoned during the Emergency. Surviving spouses will also get honorarium. Amendments in the Gaurav Yojana. (General Administration Department).
• Children and dependents of NRIs will get admission for professional courses. Change in the definition of NRI for admission to courses in unaided private professional educational institutions. Amendments in the Admission and Fees Regulation Act, 2015. (Department of Higher and Technical Education)
