What were the officials “busy with”?
After this incident, an example of how corruption works and how scammers commit scams has been given by a former official. Former PMRDA Commissioner, Mahesh Zagade, has posted a photo on X. While giving information about this photo, he said, “When I was the Metropolitan Commissioner, PMRDA, in 2016, I used to constantly travel around the entire 7400 sq. km area. To solve the traffic congestion in the Pune area, a ring road was planned in the regional planning plan in 1987. But the officials before me were so busy with “what” that they did not get time to implement that ring road for 29 years.”
Why was this bridge built?
Former civil servant Zagade further wrote, "I decided to build the ring road and personally inspected the entire 110 km road, sometimes on foot, sometimes by vehicle, with a team of officers. During one such inspection tour, a bridge was built by the Public Works Department on the Indrayani River in front of Dehu. This joke should be understood as the misfortune of the country's administration. This bridge was completely built, but there was no road on either side! I did not get an answer as to why this bridge was built even though there was no road on either end.
This is administrative malpractice!
Zagade, pointing to the accident that took place at Kundmala, has asked the question that if the funds had been used where the bridge was urgently needed, it would have definitely benefited the people. Now, looking at the loss of life caused by the collapse of the bridge at Kundmala on the Indrayani River, I am acutely aware of how tough the skin of the officers has become. I had expressed this sentiment earlier too. Such officers However, this is the minimum expectation that we should be aware of our carelessness and administrative distortion after seeing this photo!
