Attack on merchant ships in the Gulf; Financial centers also at risk if ports are targeted – Iran

Tehran: Iran has given a clear warning to the world that the price of oil could reach $200 per barrel. In Wednesday's attack, the Iranian army directly attacked merchant ships in the Gulf.
Iranian military spokesman Ebrahim Zolfaqari said, "You have tried to destabilize regional security, so be ready for $200 per barrel of oil now."
He further threatened that if any ports are targeted, the financial and commercial centers of that region will also be our targets.
The war, which began with joint air strikes by the US and Israel, has been going on for almost two weeks. So far, about 2,000 people have died, most of them Iranian and Lebanese citizens. The war has now spread to Lebanon as well. The global energy supply and transportation system has completely collapsed.
