Rahul Gandhi arrives in Amritsar to visit flood-affected areas of Punjab

Amritsar. Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi arrived in Amritsar on Monday to visit the flood-affected areas of Punjab and left for Ajnala from Amritsar airport. Here he will meet the flood-affected people. Rahul Gandhi will pay obeisance at Gurdwara Baba Budha Sahib Ji located at Ramdas in Ajnala. After this, at 11:45 am, he will interact with the farmers at Gurchak in Dera Baba Nanak, Gurdaspur. At 1:45 pm, he will visit the flood-affected villages and interact with the local community at Makora in Dina Nagar, Gurdaspur. This is the first visit of the Congress leader after the floods in Punjab. Mr. Gandhi will interact with the Sangat serving in the Gurudwara and listen to the problems of the affected families. Along with this, he will review the relief work and discuss the status of relief material and rehabilitation work with the local administration and organizations.
After this, Rahul Gandhi will go to Gurdaspur, where he will visit the flood-affected villages. He will directly interact with the local people and farmers and find out what kind of help they need the most. After this, the Congress leader will go to Dinanagar in Gurdaspur where he will interact with the villagers. After the tour, Rahul Gandhi will return to Delhi by evening. The car in which Rahul Gandhi is travelling is being driven by Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Vading himself. Apart from this, Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Pratap Singh Bajwa is also present. Mr Gandhi will also visit Pathankot.
