Spontaneous response to Pulse Polio campaign 93 percent vaccination

Nagpur, 4th : Under the National Pulse Polio Vaccination Campaign, 93 percent vaccination coverage has been achieved due to the planned vaccination campaign in urban as well as rural areas in Nagpur district. 180676 i.e. 93.01 percent of the total target 194014 beneficiaries in the age group of 0 to 5 years were administered polio vaccine dose in the district. Collector Dr. Vipin Itankar administered polio vaccine to children at Daga Smriti Stree Government Hospital. Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Saumya Sharma, District Surgeon Dr. Nivritti Rathore was present on this occasion.
After that, Collector Dr. Itankar inspected and guided the sonography, X-ray room, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of the hospital. District Health Officer Dr. Revati Sable, Additional District Health Officer Dr. Asim Inamdar, Medical Superintendent Dr. Akhtar, Additional District Surgeon Pravin Navghare, District Training Team Dr. Sachin Hemke, Senior Pediatrician Jayashree Hundredkar, Dr. Suresh Mote, medical officer, nurse, superintendent and all the health workers of the hospital were present on this occasion.
IPPI to be implemented from 5 to 9 March. In the campaign, polio vaccine will be given to beneficiaries in the age group of 0 to 5 years who are deprived of pulse polio vaccine.
