Dr. D. Y. Patil Passes Away in Kolhapur; Funeral with State Honors on Wednesday
Pune: Senior Congress leader and former Governor Dr. Dnyandev Yashwantrao Patil, popularly known as Dr. D. Y. Patil, passed away in Kolhapur on Tuesday. He breathed his last at the age of 90.
He had been ill for the past few days. His health had deteriorated on Monday night due to age-related issues. Following the news of his passing, leaders, party workers, and citizens gathered at his residence in Kasba Bawada.
Preliminary reports indicate that his funeral will be held with state honors on Wednesday.
