List of Padma Honours announced on the eve of Republic Day
On the eve of Republic Day, the Central Government has announced the Padma Awards 2026. This time, the names of singer Alka Yagnik, former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Bhagat Singh Koshyari, actor Mammootty, Kallipatti Ramasamy Palaniswamy, Dr. Nori Dattatreyudu, Piyush Pandey (posthumous), S K M Mailanandan, Shatavadhani R Ganesh, former Jharkhand Chief Minister Shibu Soren (posthumous), Uday Kotak, V K Malhotra (posthumous), Vellappally Natesan, and Vijay Amritraj have been announced for the 'Padma Bhushan' award. In addition, the late actor Dharmendra has been honoured with the Padma Vibhushan, while cricketer Rohit Sharma has been honoured with the Padma Shri.
