People Are Reaping the Consequences of Their Actions by Voting for the BJP: Sanjay Raut

Mumbai: With fuel prices—including petrol and diesel—rising continuously across the country, inflation has reached an all-time high. Consequently, the financial stability of common citizens and middle-class families has been completely disrupted. Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray) MP Sanjay Raut has leveled sharp criticism against the BJP-led central government over this issue.
Speaking to the media, Sanjay Raut stated, “Inflation has risen, and it is set to rise further. This escalating inflation has the potential to trigger anarchy within the country. To divert public attention away from fundamental issues like inflation, the BJP is engaging in the politics of religious polarization. The BJP will likely pin the blame for the situation created by inflation on the Muslim community and Pakistan. Subsequently, some people—sporting religious marks on their foreheads—will actually welcome this very inflation and proceed to vote for the BJP once again. People are now reaping the consequences of their own actions.”
Protesting Is Now Deemed Sedition
While referring to protests against inflation, Raut recalled the demonstrations that took place during the tenure of previous governments. “There was a time when women would take to the streets holding rolling pins to protest against inflation, and students would step out to raise their voices. However, today, protesting against the government is branded as sedition. Those who dare to raise their voices are arrested after false cases are filed against them,” he asserted.
Fuel Price Hikes Hit the Common Man Hard
Across the country, the impact of rising fuel prices is being felt across transportation, food grains, household goods, and daily services. Common citizens are distressed as the prices of essential commodities—such as vegetables, grains, and gas cylinders—have skyrocketed. The government, however, attributes the situation to global circumstances and the rising cost of crude oil.
Sanjay Raut's statement is likely to further intensify the political debate surrounding the issue of inflation.
