Solapur, January 5, 2026: A new twist has emerged in the political turmoil surrounding the municipal corporation elections in Maharashtra. Sujat Ambedkar, a leader of the Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi, has made serious allegations against Congress MP Praniti Shinde at a rally in Solapur. According to him, Praniti Shinde will join the BJP after the municipal elections, and Ambedkar claims that she has a secret deal with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. This claim has caused a stir in political circles.
Sujat Ambedkar said, "Everyone knows that Praniti Shinde is working for the BJP. She was going to join the BJP in October, even before the elections. However, Fadnavis told her to stay in the Congress until the municipal, municipal corporation, and district council elections are over and to make arrangements to get BJP candidates elected.  The deal is that she will then join the BJP."
Ambedkar further criticized the closeness between the Congress and the BJP, saying, "Two to three months ago, Sharad Pawar, Gautam Adani, and Devendra Fadnavis were the chief guests at the wedding of Sushilkumar Shinde's granddaughter, Diya Shroff. Their businesses are the same, their weddings are the same, their relationships are the same, and now, once Praniti Shinde joins the BJP, even their party will be the same. By voting for Congress, you will only strengthen the BJP. The world knows that the Congress MP from Solapur works for the BJP."
Stating that the Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi is the only alternative in this election, Ambedkar appealed to the voters, saying, "If you want to remove the BJP from power, then the Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi is the only way." This claim has caused a stir in both the Congress and the BJP, and Praniti Shinde has not yet reacted to it.
